ON a wet and windy day with very slippery conditions underfoot, Welland opened the scoring in this Malvern League Under 18's fixture when Simon Craddock caught Town's defence napping and slotted home.
MALVERN TOWN 9, WELLAND 2
Former Welland player Graham Thomas restored parity with his first goal for Town. Matt Cooke capitalised on some slack Town defence as he regained the lead for Welland with a neat side foot leaving goalie Ian Hill no chance.
Another former Welland player Mark Amott scored for Town despite his shot taking a slight deflection from defender Barney Coles on its way into the back of the net.
Town dominated the remainder of the half when Michael Cole scored a penalty, Thomas got his second, Dale Humphries scored from a tight angle and Cole got another to make it 6-2.
In the second half Amott recorded his second and Cole his hat-trick.
Jo Layton, who had another excellent game, rounded off the scoring with a cracking left foot drive.
