ANNA Bailey from malvern and Worcester's Janet Parker flew the county flag in style when they won gold medals in the British Indoor Rowing Championships at the National Indoor Arena Birmingham.
Bailey, the current world record holder, won the women's 50-54 heavyweight event in a new championship record time of seven minutes 10.9 secs.
Parker beat her existing British 50-54 lightweight record in eight mins 6.1 secs. Upton Rowing Club's Carol Barkley was second in a time of 8-18.9.
In the women's 30 - 35 heavyweight event, Jane Fisher, of Worcester Rowing club, won the bronze medal in a time of 7-13.5.
A team of 25 rowers from King's School, Worcester took part in the national junior event and Julia Gilbert dominated her event to see off current world silver medallist in her age group, Helen Pritchard-Smith, by 11 seconds to win the Junior 15.
Gilbert later picked up a second gold medal along with seven teammates from King's as they claimed the women's club prize for the eight fastest times recorded by a single club.
Zac Purchase claimed a hard-earned bronze medal for the boys as he competed in the Junior 18 lightweight category.
