AS visitors to Redmarley Church Christmas fair entered the Village Hall they were greeted by a colourful display of Christmas stockings made from different coloured card. The toddlers from Redmarley Playgroup had decorated them with cut out pictures, glitter, cotton wool etc with lots of imagination.
Inside the main hall Father Christmas had his grotto and reindeer and on his arrival he declared the fair open.
Much time had been spent in the run up to the event with the making of soft toys and Christmas table decorations and gifts and also a wide range of Christmas cards. All the stalls including cakes, produce, groceries, plants, bric-a-brac etc were well stocked. The grand draw had a large selection of prizes and the tombola with its bottles and other goodies did a roaring trade. Tea and cakes were on sale.
All the proceeds are for St Bartholomew's Church funds so watch this space for the final result.
