THE man in charge of fast-recovering Sladen Middle School has another feather in his cap after being elected president of the Worcestershire branch of the National Association of Head Teachers.
And Tom Revell, who has been head teacher since April, is using the prestigious position to lobby the Government on behalf of the county's schools.
"Pupils at Worcestershire middle schools receive £280 less per head than the national average," said Mr Revell who was elected president of the organisation in October for this academic year.
"Is that fair? We're being penalised for our good housekeeping."
The campaigning head claims that if Sladen received the average annual grant per head for England and Wales it would be £150,000 richer.
"That could pay for 20 computers with internet access, or support assistants in every class," he said.
