Michael Handy lived up to the title of his programme, Let Me Entertain You, when he interpreted popular shows with floral arrangements.
There was a hat creation in green and white such as Eliza Doolittle wore in My Fair Lady.
A gold "Oscar" type statue enhanced with pink amaryllis and peach carnations depicted the fallen broadway star in Sunset Boulevard and a Hallowe'en design in a terracotta pot evoked thoughts of The Witches of Eastwick.
A black gondola with pink nerines and burgundy arum lilies could have sailed along the sewer canals of Paris featured in Phantom of the Opera and the finale was of Miss Saigon using bamboo, ferns, yellow lilies and chocolate gerbera with gold orchids.
The group's 45th Birthday Party will be held at the next meeting, when a buffet supper will be followed by a flower demonstration by Joan Southerton.
There will be no December meeting.
