FARMERS and landowners have warned that a High Court ruling has weakened the enforcement of public order laws aimed at protecting private land and property against criminal damage.
The Country Land and Business Association wants the House of Lords to overturn the High Court's judgement that the legislation cannot be used to prosecute campaigners who damage genetically modified crops when no person who might be intimidated by their activities is present in the field at the time.
