OUT AND ABOUT: Bidford lights were switched last Sunday night by Crossroads star Jane Gurnett at 5.30pm a pig roast, sweet stall and other entertainment were on hand and it was quite an illuminating experience. A bazaar was held at Bidford Bowling Club last Saturday, coffee and biscuits and a variety of stalls, books, cakes, bric a brac and a lucky dip were there to raise money for a new roof for the pavilion. Alcester Operatics produced a lovely version of the musical Annie at the Greig Hall last Saturday, brilliantly performed by the cast especially Annie, certainly a star in the making. A craft fair was held at Ragley Hall last Sunday, lots of craftspeople with many ideas for Christmas, very colourful and inspiring, another one is planned for March 2002. Go see Harry Potter a film not to be missed, full of wizardry a real fantasy entertainment. Bidford Christmas Tree Festival is planned for December 8 and 9 at St Laurences Church from noon to 6pm.
