A RETIRED Wolverley man says he is "appalled" with the police and the Royal Mail for ignoring two sacks of abandoned mail he spotted.
Charles Jones, 74, of Kingsford Lane, alerted the police on October 30 to his find in the Kinver area. He was assured that Staffordshire Police would get in touch, but he heard nothing. Two days later he reported the find to Kidderminster's main post office, but again heard nothing.
The sacks were still there on November 6, but had been taken by November 13.
Ten days later Kidderminster Police phoned him to ask whet- her he knew if they had gone.
"There were thousands of pieces of mail open to the elements. I've got no idea who took it - the post office, the police or Joe Bloggs," said Mr Jones.
