AN application to convert a dilapidated 19th century Cookley corn mill into a home has been accepted by a district council watchdog.
A report to the council's overview and scrutiny committee (environment and development) said the proposals for Sleepy Mill off the A449 Wolverhampton to Caunsall road were contrary to Green Belt and Local Plan policies.
But in its comments, the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings said the bid represented a "golden opportunity" to preserve the building before it collapsed completely.
