IN-FORM Wyre Forest held undefeated second-placed Sedgley to a 1-1 draw on their travels in West Midlands League Division One South.
But Forest, only beaten once in 11 games, gifted their opponents a goal when a mix-up between Darren Pace and Potter gave Kevin Waite the easiest of chances.
The visitors then raised their game a notch and came close to equalising on several occasions.
The best of these came from a free-kick when Mark Allen teed the ball up and Andy Oakes' superb volley was saved by Wesley Cox in the Sedgley goal.
Forest appealed for a penalty when Richard Hughes was brought down by Lee Turtle but the referee did not agree.
The second half was only eight minutes old when they equalised as Oakes' inch-perfect cross was hammered into the net by Allen from close range.
Both sides strived for the winner but the defences held firm.
Forest have no match on Saturday and their next fixture will be on Saturday, December 8, when they entertain bottom club Bustleholme Reserves.
