WHAT a load of rubbish!
Does the head of waste management for our county think we are stupid enough to believe there is no alternative to incineration of our waste?
Is he unaware of how other authorities throughout the UK and in Europe are encouraging both the public and business to reduce and recycle their waste?
We obviously need to change our methods of disposal as landfill cannot continue at the current rate, but our aim should be to improve our environment, not pollute it.
If he and his department cannot see any alternatives, let us recruit people who have the necessary expertise and who will consider the wishes of the people of this county and their future environment for us and our children.
