THREE boats capsized at Trimpley Sailing Club as a violent squall hit racing on Sunday.
Mike Stout, Glen Caulwell and Terry Bolton were all dumped in the water but they were already soaked from the heavy rain.
Conditions calmed down as the race continued with Phil Quarry and Sophie Tissiman winning the GP 14 Noon race from Tom Fletcher and father with Mark and Michelle Tromans in third position.
The winds dropped even lighter for the second race which only the Fletchers finished out of six starters .
The final race was abandoned as calm descended on Trimpley, while Tom Jeffs was the lone Laser sailor.
On Saturday, Rob Hart and Paul Wooddisse won well from Ray Drury and Richard Turnock in the GP14 main series.
The second race was abandoned for lack of wind and Alison Young was the only Laser sailor.
