HISTORY lessons moved out of the book and into the playground as school children in Worcester had a taste of Tudor life.
Pupils at Powick Primary School were involved in England's past times as part of a Year 4 project.
The eight and nine-year-olds are not only studying King Henry VIII but have also been given a chance to test out battle boards and spinning tops which kept youngsters of the era occupied.
To add to the historic flavour they had dresses, trousers and hats from Tudor times which were donated for the morning by The Commandery.
"The kids all loved the traditional outfits and when the morning had finished did not want to change back into their normal school clothes," said class teacher Debbie Jeffrey.
Teachers also dressed up in a variety of garments including a Tudor schoolmistress uniform and a Beefeater outfit.
