PRESIDENT Jenny Cox welcomed everyone and secretary Rosemary Roberts read last month's minutes.

A letter was read out from the county chairman regarding constitution changes and members gave their approval for these.

A letter was read from Peter Morris, chairman of the village hall committee. He thanked those who had helped clean up the hall after refurbishment.

Irene Dalton reported she had sent birthday cards to Ena Vernon, Margaret Talbot and Mary Smith.

Delice Bayliss reported on theatre outings and found the Birmingham Hippodrome was highly priced and booked up for popular shows at present but she would go on looking into this. She also spoke of the recent greeting card class run by Miriam Tilt and Gill Blackband and brought along a sample.

Miriam Tilt reported on the recent group meeting at Upton Snodsbury, a hilarious one when members listened to odes and poems by the speaker.

Group secretary Ann Smith would welcome ideas on activities for future meetings. Jackie Giles brought to members' notice an evening of mulled wine, mince pies and music at St Peter's Hall, Inkberrow on December 1 at 7.30pm, £2 entrance.

The December meeting will include an American supper and European folk dancing and in January the Christmas dinner will take place at French House Inn, Upton Snodsbury.

An illustrated talk on Scotland's history and wildlife followed.

On a cold and frosty night members enjoyed the pictures of mountain goats, red deer and heron.

The competition was won by Gill Blackband and the raffle by Mollie Jones.
