THE November meeting was the AGM and was enlivened by questions from members on the financial statement, which was very satisfactory, together with interesting reports from the president and secretary.

After a ballot, Pam Day was re-elected president.

Members were asked to complete questionnaires for a speaker at this year's half-yearly council meeting - an American woman who has studied the WI for 10 years. She is most impressed as there is nothing like it in America.

A group carol service takes place at the Ecumenical Centre on Saturday, December 8, at 2pm.

The Christmas lunch this year will be at Webbs Garden Centre on December 3.

Flower of the month was won by M Reynolds and the competition was won by M Smith.

The next meeting on December 10 at 2pm at the Ecumenical Centre will be the Christmas party. All members and friends welcome.
