DEAR EDITOR -- Your Memory Lane column provides an interesting look into the district's past, and must jog a few memories.
This week we were reminded that in 1976, Bromsgrove District Council considered the matter of flooding in Catshill, a problem that has existed for at least the last century.
They decided that nothing could be done, and despite frequent protests by local residents, that has remained the case.
I now understand that 25 years later, and after many more protests the council is to look at the problem again, which will be welcome news to all those affected.
Even for a Tory council 25 years of inactivity must surely earn it a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
John P Healey, Golden Cross Lane, Catshill,
Bromsgrove.
