DEAR EDITOR -- A recent front page story in the Advertiser prompts the question - 'Are the police stretched too thinly in Droitwich Spa?'
In my view the answer has to be yes.
Uniformed police are conspicuously absent from our town centre.
What has happened to the 'police specials' whose training was helped by a financial contribution from our council?
Do we still employ a traffic warden I am tempted to ask?
Of course we don't want an overpowering presence of police on our streets, but numbers which ensure safety and good public order. How does one influence an authority?
M Darkin,
Droitwich.
