FECKENHAM have been drawn at home to neighbours and Division Two top dogs Barnt Green Spartak in the Smedley Crooke Cup.

But manager Clive Campion is training his sights on a resurgent Nuneaton Griffs side who visit the Valley in a league game on Saturday (ko 2.45pm).

With the Millers sixth after a late 1-1 draw against third placed West Midlands Police on Saturday, and reigning champions Nuneaton seventh, Campion wants to keep his side in sight of the leaders.

And the Feckenham boss has warned his players he is on the hunt for new recruits after a flying start to the season has been followed by only two wins in their last seven matches.

Feckenham were hampered by the loss of 20 goal marksman Brian Powell at the weekend after the prolific forward failed a fitness test with fluid on the knee.

Midfielder Matt Hudson failed a late test on his hamstring problem and midfielder Justin Dankenbring was out with an ankle injury.

All three are doubtful for Saturday and the cup visit of Barnt Green next Wednesday (ko 7.30pm).

Redditch United forward Simon Williams was recalled by new Reds boss Rod Brown for Saturday's 3-1 loss to Chippenham and came off the bench but United midfielder Steve Cross, son of former manager Nicky, has joined the Valley tenants.

Shirley Town defender Steve Roddy has been banned for life after being accused of punching referee Ron Winfindale in the match against Feckenham on October 10.

He was fined £200, has 14 days to appeal to the FA after the Birmingham County FA verdict and can ask for the ban to be reviewed after five years.
