Bromsgrove U15s 10 Worcester U15s 8. In a pulsating North Midlands Cup game, Bromsgrove overcame Worcester to progress to the semi-finals.

Worcester started strongly but the home side were equal to the challenge with James Hall and Nick Raybould knocking their opposite numbers back with ferocious tackles.

Astute kicking from Martyn Hubbleday and James Upton and constant harrying from forwards Ben Stacy and Jonathan Adams put pressure on the visitors. Hubbleday capitalised with a well taken penalty, only for Josh Kelly to equalise with an easier kick.

Town hooker Ryan Godwin stole a strike against the head to allow number eight Phil Patrick to power over for a try with Hubbleday adding a magnificent conversion from the touchline.

Worcester's Andrew Tew pounced for a try but when the conversion failed the referee blew for the end.

In the second half only determined Malvern tackling prevented Bromsgrove from adding to their score.

Droitwich U11s 14 Old Hales U11s 7. Droitwich made life hard for themselves when they conceded a well taken try and conversion. It proved to be a wake up call for Spa who raised their game. MoM Jack Pomroy collected a good pass and ran two thirds of the pitch to score a wonderful try.

Droitwich U11s 45 Old Hales U11s 31. In heavy rain, Droitwich took the game straight to Old Hales showing superb handling.

Both teams seemed to relish playing in the mud and entertained the crowd to a superb game. Pomroy stretched the Old Hales defence to score and Hurlston added another straight from the kick off. Old Hales came back strongly but the Droitwich pack started to dominate in open play and Sean Hooper's tackling was as strong as a brick wall. Jack O'Hara and David Millington, using their bodies as battering rams, went over for tries, Scott-Walker added another and Pomroy completed a hat-trick. MoM Charlie Fry put in some huge tackles. The conversions were kicked by Sean Storey (two) and Scott-Walker (three).

Newport levelled the game 19-19 and with three minutes remaining a scrum was awarded to Droitwich in the Newport half. The ball was recycled and the lads surged forward only to be stopped five metres out.

Skipper James Shewell gathered the ball from the ruck and drove over the line giving Droitwich a well deserved win.

When Tom Millward powered to the line, it sealed an excellent first half with Droitwich well in control. Spa coaches introduced some of the newer squad members for the second half and they turned in excellent performances. Dickinson sealed the match with a magnificent 40-metre sprint.

Droitwich U12s 35 Old Hales U12s 0. Anthony Muckle, in his first game for Droitwich, opened the scoring. Sam Bower had Old Hales in total disarray when he ran in a memorable try from his own half. Elusive James Brassier then scored a well worked try.
