A FIGHTING fund has been launched by parents to pay for a High Court challenge to the Government demanding fairer funding for Worcestershire schools, writes Julian Seva.
The move came at the first parent and parent governor county conference of its kind held in Droitwich last week.
Many Redditch parents have already joined with others across the county to demand the Government increase its spending on schools.
Ministers had agreed to review the funding situation which they accept as "unfair" but there are now fears that changes will not be made for at least five years.
Fund organisers have already been promised £5 from every headteacher in the county and are now looking for governing bodies to match that donation.
Donations can be sent to WHF Fighting Fund, Droitwich Spa High School, Briar Mill, Droitwich WR9 0AA.
