Redditch Youth Fencers achieved outstanding results in the West Midlands regional qualifying round of the British Youth Championships at King Edward's School, Birmingham.
Redditch fencers took four of the ten berths in the national finals at Stoke on Trent in the new year.
Skipper Fred Noakes finished joint third in the u18 boys foil, Sian Salmon won the u16 girls foil and Tom Newman and John Noakes finished joint third in the u12 boys foil.
The quartet are all heading for the finals.
Other Redditch fencers; u16 girls: Helen Shine (joint 3rd), Florrie Gillanders (5th); u14 boys: Daniel Wilson (13th); u16 boys: Chris Bennett (14th) Sam Jones (17th); u12 boys: James Harris (10th).
The team were giving an outing to electrical equipment supplied by an Awards For All lottery grant.
