HEADLESS Cross mum and daughter Pauline and Katherine Fisher have reached the Britannic Asset Management Family Tennis Challenge.

The talented duo were crowned northern area champions after a busy weekend at the David Lloyd Tennis Centre, Manchester.

Great Britain over 45s star Pauline, 44, and 13-year-old Kingsley College pupil Katherine beat Cheshire duo Claire and Fiona Bell 6-1, 6-3 in the semi before dispatching Newcastle pair Pat Memery and Kendal Spark by the same score in the area final.

Barnt Green TC player Pauline heads for the Queens Club, London for the national final on Saturday December 15.

Their opponents are yet to be decided but Surrey pair Barbara and Danielle Snapes are tipped to win the southern section.

The overall prize is a trip to La Manga, Spain.
