ROD Brown has wasted no time in ringing the changes at the Valley.

The newly-installed Reds manager is set to hand former Sheffield United under 21s keeper Martin Lakin his debut at Shepshed tomorrow (ko 3pm).

The 6' 5" keeper is unattached after a spell at Third Division Cheltenham Town and Brown said he was taking a look at him.

The new man was also hoping to blood Kidderminster Harriers striker Stuart Hadley and midfielder Daire Doyle.

The Harriers duo are set to come in on a month's loan with Brown expecting a decision from Jan Molby today.

But the former Stourport manager has had to make a seven day approach to his former club for player-coach Brendan Hackett delaying his arrival.

Halesowen Town defender Lee Knight is mulling over a return to the Valley and Brown is hopeful of signing him in time for the visit of Chippenham a week on Saturday.

Bromsgrove Rovers striker Michael Moore has spoken to the club but any move has been put on ice pending Hadley's arrival from Kidderminster.

United's Worcestershire Senior Cup tie at home to neighbours Solihull Borough has been rearranged for Tuesday, December 4, pending their FA Trophy result.

And the league visit of Gresley, postponed from September, has been rearranged for Tuesday, December 11.
