THE town's traffic supremo has swapped the highways of Bromsgrove for the worldwide super highway.

Worcestershire Highways Partnership in Bromsgrove manager Jon Fraser, who is responsible for roads and traffic matters throughout the district, has officially launched his own website this week.

The site, www.jonfraser.com, will enable visitors to obtain the latest up-to-the minute news regarding roadworks around the Bromsgrove district.

Whenever there are temporary traffic lights likely to cause delays, or there are road closures and diversions, details are given on the site.

Householders frustrated by potholes and other highway matters will be pleased to know they can report their problems quickly and simply via the site.

And the site is already proving popular, with a response from Canada.

Manager Jon Fraser said: "This is another way for people to contact the highways partnership and it will be the best way for anyone who has to travel to find out the latest regarding traffic works around the district."

All on-going works are listed including traffic and maintenance work carried out directly by the highways partnership, roadworks connected with private developments, and works by public utilities such as Severn Trent Water or British Telecom.

The pages are updated daily with the latest news and developments.
