FAIRFIELD entertained Erdington-based Holly Lane on Saturday and recorded a draw in this all action Midland Combination Division One game.
Villa went behind after 15 minutes and two good chances to equalise were expertly saved by Andy Pring.
Holly Lane increased their lead when Peter Fern turned home a cross from close range.
Villa's determination was rewarded with a goal after 55 minutes when Alister Thomas broke clear and easily beat Pring.
Five minutes later, Villa equalised when Wayne Davies scored from ten yards. The home side were soon behind again when keeper Paul Sidwell misjudged a long range effort from G Williams and the ball bounced under his body and into the net.
Villa were level again two minutes later when a good passing movement was finished off by Thomas from 15 yards.
Fairfield then took control and Ian Donegan shot wide when well placed three times and Thomas hit the post.
