CHAWSON were left wondering how they let a game they dominated from start to finish slip in treacherous conditions against a side boasting a 100 per cent record in the Bromsgrove Advertiser/Messenger League Division Three.
Old Boys started brightly and took the lead on 15 minutes when an outstanding cross from Mark Bowen was headed home by Andy Merry.
Chawson then went 2-0 up after Farren Middleton was hauled down in the penalty area and Mark Seager made no mistake from the spot kick.
A slip in defence allowed the home side to pull one back and Harborne deservedly drew level on 50 minutes.
Harborne then sat back and Chawson threw everything at them with Bowen and Philip Wood bombing forward and putting in pinpoint crosses.
Seager came closest to scoring the winner when he rattled the crossbar in the last five minutes.
