VICTORIA Barnt Green closed the gap on the Division One leaders by beating Meadow Park Premier 3-1 in the Bromsgrove Advertiser/Messenger District Football League.
Marcus Pierpoint, Jon Barnes and James Moir hit the back of the net to leave them one point behind Rubery Social. Ian Carlson scored for Meadow Park.
Turks Head remain in the bottom half of the table after losing 4-0 to Mostyn Rangers. The goals came from Dave Cannon, Phil Senior, and Andy Pratt (two).
In Division Two, Barley Mow move into second place thanks to a 3-1 win at Central Park. Clive Wagstaff and Alan Gandy (two) netted for Barley with the reply from Ian Sallows.
Turks Head Reserves won their first league game of the season thanks to strikes from Andy Lawley and Paul Barratt. Spencer Kendall scored for their opponents, Bromsgrove General.
Woodbourne Sports and Waseley United shared eight goals. Mark Wright (two), Steve Holmes and Lee McQuillan notched for Woodbourne and Lee Strain, Andy Saunders and Craig Ackrell (two) were the hitmen for United.
