A CAST of more than 30 and a full pit orchestra are set to play, sing and tap dance their way through this year's Christmas show at the Alexandra Theatre.

The Birmingham venue will present Me and My Girl.

It tells the story of Cockney barrow boy Bill Snibson who is revealed, to the horror of the aristocracy, as the new Earl of Hareford.

His newly discovered relations are horrified and try to educate him in the ways of the gentry.

The result is absolute chaos, with well-known songs such as The Sun Has Got His Hat On, Leaning on a Lamppost and the show-stopping Lambeth Walk.

It runs from Friday, December 14, until Saturday, January 19.

Tickets are available on 0870 607 7544.
