Redditch Exiles 10 Bromsgrove Crusaders 23
A well-organised Crusaders were worthy winners in a game Redditch failed to rise to.
Much of the first quarter was spent in the Exiles' 22, with a succession of lineouts and scrums keeping them penned near their own line.
The first score was inevitable and came via a dubious ploy from a set scrum, the number eight Phil Greyhead scoring.
A second try followed and a couple of penalty kicks, countered only by a barging try from Mark Cardy.
Direct from the restart Redditch capitalised on hesitation in the visiting ranks and Neil Cardy sniped a score.
The score remained at 10-18 for much of the second half, the Exiles unable to capitalise on the extra man advantage after Bromsgrove lost a prop.
The final try killed off Redditch when the Crusaders' centre sprinted across the pitch out of the grasp of despairing tackles.
