THE first delegation of Japanese women to visit this country since the war arrived in Birmingham on Wednesday.
They are guests of the Foreign Office and their three weeks tour to study social conditions in Britain will include a visit to Mr A B Quinney's farm at Sambourne Oak Farm Astwood Bank today.
Planning permission is to be sought for the Studley Village Hall project.
The proposal to build a village hall near the junction of Crooks Lane and Station Road was carried a stage further at Tuesday's meeting of Studley Parish Council.
The proposed building is estimated to accommodate about 400 people.
