WE are pleased to learn that an amateur dramatic society has been formed in Redditch and will shortly make its bow to the local play-going public from the stage of the Public Hall.

Perhaps it would be more correct to say the society has been reorganised, for although it has a strong infusion of fresh blood, the society contains several members of the old amateur dramatic society, which had so successful a career in Redditch for about 15 years.

Mr Edgar Warner, for instance, is stage manager and under his tutelage and that of Mr Joseph Avery, the younger members are said to be shaping well.

Mr B Bromley is hon. secretary of the society and Miss Hill is treasurer.

The society is rehearsing Broughton's Withered Leaves and also the comedietta Strange Blossoms.

These will be presented at the Public Hall on December 11 and the society is making a good start by holding its first entertainment in aid of Redditch Nursing Association.
