CONCERNS about the suitability of a Droitwich Spa site earmarked for more than 100 homes have been voiced.
Mark Heel believes the brownfield land, off Kidderminster Road, is a designated flood plain and county archaeologists have confirmed major historic finds beneath the land.
In a letter to Droitwich Spa Town Council, he claimed contaminated soil would be removed by developers and dumped in the River Salwarpe.
In a written response, the town council said the site was recognised as "on a flood plain" and special mitigation works were identified and agreed within the planning process.
Wychavon District Council has confirmed no soil will be dumped in the river and archaeological interest in the site, it is too limited to prevent development.
