A WORCESTER primary school was turned into an art gallery for a special school project that was a huge success.
Pictures painted by pupils at Nunnery Wood Primary School were framed and displayed for parents, who then had the option to buy them.
Money raised through last night's exhibition, called Take Art, goes towards the school's art department.
Organiser Sue Grant said 122 pictures had been bought and paid for last night with a further 50-pictures reserved.
"There was a very high turn-out of parents - it worked very well," said Mrs Grant, an art co-ordinator at the Prestwich Avenue school.
"It was set up like a proper art gallery - it looked very effective - and everything was catalogued."
Each class chose to tackle a different theme with their paintings, covering topics such as sunsets, autumn leaves and night scenes and family portraits.
