CHILDREN and adults are being invited to plant trees at the new community woodland off Townsend Way, Malvern, on Saturday, December 1, as part of National Tree Week.
Malvern Hills Conservators are keen that people attend the event, founded and organised by the Tree Council to launch the winter tree planting season.
It is hoped it will help encourage people to plant more trees and get involved with good tree management.
Car parking is available at Partnership Housing Group offices, Grovewood Road adjacent to Townsend Way. Full instructions will be given at any time of the day, between 10am and 4pm, with no experience necessary.
People are asked to wear stout boots, wet weather clothing and take along a packed lunch, tools (spades, shovels and wheelbarrows) and old newspapers.
For further information, contact the Malvern Hills Conservators, Manor House, Grange Road, Malvern on 01684 892002.
