WORCESTER City boss John Barton has moved closer to boosting his squad after holding talks with a transfer target last night.
Barton confirmed he had agreed personal terms with the player but said the matter was now in the hands of the two clubs to thrash out a deal.
"It is just a case of sorting things out between the clubs and reaching an agreement," he said.
An update is also expected on the St George's Lane club's bid to bring in a defender and striker.
City submitted a written offer to the club in question at the end of last week.
Meanwhile, winger Dwaine McFarlane has signed a contract with City until the end of the season.
The former West Bromwich Albion trainee has impressed since joining City at the start of this season.
