A TEENAGER who forged his mother's signature on three cheques had £2,920 transferred from her account to his own, he admitted in court at Kidderminster.
Ian Winks, 19, formerly of Mill Lane, Kidderminster, and now living in Weston-super-Mare, was bailed for a report when he admitted using false instruments to defraud the NatWest bank.
He had wasted the money on drink and gaming machines, he told police.
Winks took the cheques from his mother's bedroom at a time when he was living with her, said his solicitor, David Howarth.
The offence originated in his resentment at her taking his benefit money and allowing him only £10 a week.
Sometimes he had no food for three days in the week, Mr Howarth told the court.
