I SEE that Herefordshire "has received more than £15m in regeneration money from Europe since 1995". Naturally, I am delighted for those in our county who have benefited.

However, I must point out that Herefordshire taxpayers have paid out approximately £20m to the EU in the same period! The cost to the people of Herefordshire of EU membership is currently running at around £64,000 per week gross.

Yes, of course we need investment in our county, but there would be a whole lot more money to go around, and it would be a whole lot easier to get hold of, if it never left these shores in the first place.
