UPTON Ladies continued their recent good form with a comfortable win over Harbourne.

UPTON 5, HARBOURNE IV 1

Harbourne started strongly putting together some dangerous attacks which were thwarted by the Upton defence, Jenny Parkes enjoying playing out of goal.

Rachel Barber opened the Upton scoring with a reverse stick shot. Upton's team work then fell into place with some good interplay between Laura Smith and Trudy Warner. Upton's second followed a run from defence by Jacky Farley who passed to Vikki Atkinson in the D to fire home the shot.

Upton having the luxury of substitutes meant that Anita Sherwood came on to give one of the forwards a rest. Upton's third came again from Vikki Atkinson who received a pass from Martha Recordon to make it 3 - 0 at half time.

Following the break Harbourne won a short corner, which was well taken and scored from, leaving keeper Sue Murphy no chance.

Sarah Loader cleared a ball from the back to Martha Recordon who again made the final pass to Vikki Atkinson to score her third.

Upton's last goal was set up by Bev Ingram who played a fine reverse stick pass to Charlotte Underwood to score.

Player of the match Jacky Farley.
