MALVERN Ladies FC entertained South Bristol Wanderers in a league game on Sunday and took the points in a seven-goal thriller.

MALVERN LADIES FC 4, SOUTH BRISTOL WANDERERS 3

Both sides started slowly with most of the attacking being done by South Bristol. In the 20th minute, against the run of play, Malvern took the lead when a cross field ball fell into the path of Hayley Presley who calmly fired past the keeper.

South Bristol equalised in the 25th minute with a well struck volley from their centre forward. Emily Prosser made it 2-1 to Malvern in the 42nd minute and got her second of the game two minutes later after a fine through ball from Kate Morris.

Two goals in two minutes for South Bristol levelled the score after an hour's play but Malvern continued to battle hard against a very resolute South Bristol team and were rewarded in the 70th minute after a good pass from Tess Morris split the visitors defence and was slotted home by Emily Prosser for her hat-trick.

Prosser was then booked in the 87th minute for a tackle from behind.

Karina Far, centre of midfield, and Tracey Evans, centre of defence, both had good games for Malvern.

Next Sunday (November 11) Malvern Ladies, who are sponsored by First Floor Flooring, travel to Cam Bulldogs for a league match, kick-off 2.30pm.
