PHIL Preedy will be gunning for his fifth goal in seven games as Evesham United return to Dr Martens Western Division action against Bloxwich United at Common Road tomorrow (3pm).

The attacking midfielder has been hitting the net regularly despite Evesham struggling to produce their best form.

They crashed out of the FA Trophy last weekend at the hands of Dulwich Hamlet in another below par performance.

Boss Phil Mullen is backing his current players to turn around the slump in form and has no immediate plans to bring in new signings as they bid to keep in touch with the leading six in the league.

"Preedy is doing OK but he's the only guy who looks like he is going to score at the moment which is a bit of a concern but I believe in the players and I'm sure they'll turn it round," he said.

"We don't need any drastic changes just a bit of luck and hopefully that will come tomorrow."

One pleasing aspect for Mullen has been the form of Andy Smith, one of the Robins' most consistent performers last year. "He was one of the standard bearers for us last season and he's very much back in the fold," said Mullen.

"Preedy's also been excellent and Mark Wolsey has been very consistent and it is just getting the other guys to play to the same level."
