STOURPORT Swifts will be hoping to maintain their impressive start to their first Dr Martens Western Division campaign when they travel to Gresley Rovers tomorrow (1pm) after a two-week break.

Swifts, lying in fourth spot, have already beaten John McGinlay's side but Gresley have improved and coach Gary Whild is expecting a hard match.

"Gresley has a tight ground and is never an easy place to go and they could have a crowd of 300 on the back of their recent run," he said. "We beat them 2-0 at home but their fortunes have improved and they are undefeated in something like six games."

Swifts' lofty position, which could see them go top if results go their way, and injury doubts over veteran striker Tim Langford, have persuaded boss Rod Brown to look for another striker.

"Tim's 35 or 36 and long-term there must be a question mark over him. Because of that and where we are in the league we thought now is probably the time to add a couple of players," said Whild.

"We've got Lee Booth leading the goalscoring charts and if we get someone else doing something similar then it would be a great boost."

Adrian Cooper and Steve Ulfig continue loan periods with Causeway United. Willie Dunn (knee) and Langford are Swifts' only injury doubts.
