THE number of customers flooding to a new fast food drive-thru restaurant in Redditch has dropped by 50 per cent since it opened, writes Becky Procter.
The opening of KFC on Trafford Park immediately led to a stream of complaints about the traffic chaos it caused.
But during a St George's Neighbourhood Group Meeting last week, Worcestershire County Council's highways manger for Redditch, Jim Casey, said the original problem had eased.
Mr Casey also informed residents a drive-thru restaurant was always listed on the original plans for Trafford Park sited in its current position.
He said the car parking spaces taken up by KFC were always just extra ones provided.
