A WORCESTER mum with a history of psychiatric problems has been ordered to keep to the west side of the city - or be jailed again.

Droitwich magistrates told Violet Miller she must stick to strict bail conditions until pre-sentence and psychiatric reports were ready.

The 39-year-old mother-of-two had been remanded in custody last week for breaching bail.

But magistrates yesterday released her from custody and warned her this was her last chance.

"It's important you abide by these conditions and take your medication," the bench said.

"If you do break these you know what will happen. The police will come along and arrest you."

Miller, of Bromwich Road, St John's, had a recent history of "obsessive" behaviour, the court heard.

Last month she pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour and causing criminal damage and was awaiting sentencing.

But on Friday, October 5 she was arrested for banging on the door of the Merriman's Hill Health Resource Centre - her bail conditions had ordered her to keep away.

"The Crown can conceive she is a woman who requires psychiatric care," said Susan Cliff, prosecuting.

"She develops an obsession about a place or a person.

"This is a very sad case. She completely fails to comply with bail conditions at all."

The court heard Miller had received psychiatric treatment in Hereford where she and her family used to live.

But since the move to Worcester the amount of care she received had fallen.

"I've been told by her husband she was treated and medicated as required in Hereford," said Charles Hamer, defending.

"While she was getting help she was troubling no one."

He said she felt frustrated she could not get the same level of treatment in Worcester.

She returned to the Merriman's Hill Health Resource Centre in order to get help.

Mr Hamer said Miller would now be seen by a psychiatrist at Raeside Clinic in Birmingham.

Magistrates agreed to bail her until she is sentenced on Friday, November 9.
