ON-loan striker Colin Larkin is de-lighted with the experience he is gaining from playing for Kidderminster Harriers in the Nationwide League.

The 19-year-old's month-long stint from Wolverhampton Wanderers is due to end after today's home clash with Cheltenham Town, but an extension to his spell at Aggborough looks on the cards.

Larkin admits that he's not been surprised by the physical rigours of Division Three football and would welcome at least another month with boss Jan Molby's men.

He said: "You get experienced defenders down here and I wouldn't say it's easier than the First or Second Division.

"Some people say it's harder and certainly more physical. There's a lot of battling as well as some nice football. In fact, I've noticed I get the ball more to feet at Kidderminster. At Wolves, it was more over the top. Unfortunately, I don't think I kept the ball that well at Macclesfield last Sunday. I know I need to work on my strength because I'm not the biggest of lads."

Following today's game Molby is likely to make moves to extend Larkin's loan period.

The Dane said: " In an ideal world we would like to keep him. Whether it's an ideal world or not we'll have to wait and see.

"We took him for a month and we would like to keep him. We will look at the situation, but there will be no decision on him until after today's game.

"I think what he gives us is his goal threat. That's what we are missing a little bit."
