ABOUZAR kept his unbeaten record in singles and doubles (with Carl Pitt) during Abbey College's victories over Bromyard in the Malvern Table Tennis League Division Two.

Carl won five out of his singles matches and for Bromyard there was a win apiece for Tony Williams and Jeremy Bailey and two for Pete Stewart. Colin Dolding, Pete Harrold and James Palmer each won one for Crackpots.

There was better news for Crackpots in their match with CSSC Nomads, Pete and Colin won two each and James one. Pete and James also won the doubles. For the visitors, John O'Loughlen won two and Dave Backhurst one.

In the Manor Park derby match, honours went to Oak. Three wins for Paul White and two each for Steve Farr and Paul Coleman helped the home team beat Wombats. Paul Lythgoe won two for Wombats.

Three wins for David Elliott was not enough to prevent Broadheath from slipping to defeat against Upton. Two wins apiece for Peter Quy, Pete Nash and Roger Davies helped the visitors to a 6-4 win.

RESULTS: Crackpots E 7, CSSC Nomads 3; Manor Park Oak 8, Manor Park Wombats 2; Broadheath Belters 4, Upton 6; Abbey College A 6, Bromyard Buzzards 4; Abbey College A 7, Crackpots E 3.

CRACKPOTS B were too strong for the Juniors C team in Division Three, only Colin Sage managed to win a single game.

The Junior A team were in good form against the Maulers who have still to win a set, but Andy Graham came close to breaking the duck but lost to James Clarke in the fifth game of their set. David Smith and Gavin Oseman were the other A players.

Five sets went to four games when the Junior B team entertained Abbeydowne. Graham Collier won three, Anthony Wiseman two and Tom James won for the B team. Bill Lucas took two and Roy Holland one and they teamed up to win the doubles for Abbeydowne.

Express Juniors put up their best performance yet against Crackpots C. Ben Salisbury was unlucky not to get on to the score sheet as he took two sets to the fifth game and narrowly lost to Ellie Ginn 12-10 in the fifth.

Geoff Burford also won a game against Ellie and with Ben won the third of four games in the doubles.

RESULTS: Malvern Juniors C 0, Crackpots B 10; Malvern Juniors A 10, Manor Park Maulers 0; Malvern Juniors B 6, Abbeydowne 4; Crackpots C 10, Manor Park Express Juniors 0.
