MALVERN Ladies FC travelled to Warden Hill for a league game on Sunday and came away with the points after a fine display.

WARDEN HILL UNITED 2, MALVERN LADIES FC 3

Malvern opened the scoring after seven minutes when the ball fell to Tess Morris who slotted home from six yards. After 12 minutes a cross from Emily Prosser was flicked in by Hayley Presley.

Warden Hill started to come back into the game in the second half and only some good saves from keeper Rachel Tuffin kept Warden Hill out.

In the 68th minute a clearance from the Malvern defence cleared the home team's back four and fell to Emily Prosser who fired past the keeper for 0-3.

Four minutes later Warden Hill scored after the Malvern defence failed to clear the ball and in the 78th minute Warden Hill got their second from the penalty spot.

Only a couple of excellent saves from Rachel Tuffin kept the home team at bay.

Malvern held on for a very deserved victory played in heavy rain and strong winds.

Rachel Tuffin had a very good game for Malvern Ladies, who are sponsored by First Floor Flooring.

Malvern's next game is against Gloucester City at Victoria Park on Sunday, October 21, kick off 2.30pm. Refreshments will be available during the game. Go along and support your only local ladies football team.
