ALCESTER councillors have voiced grave concerns about proposed cuts to services in the town, writes Helen Clarke.
Stratford Council has announced it is considering pulling the verge grass-cutting service it operates in the town.
And a council spokesman has admitted there were other cutbacks or savings in the pipeline which would probably affect Alcester.
Town councillors have questioned why services were being cut to make savings when the district council still had tens of millions of pounds in the coffers from the sale of council houses.
