It is proposed to erect an additional filter at the Camp Reservoir, at an estimated cost of about £1,000. In a health resort like Malvern, the purest and most efficient water supply is essential, and any means that will secure this should be adopted. Malvern Gazette, October 11, 1901.
A letter was read from the Colwall Parochial Committee, which expressed the hope that the Council would recognise the necessity of providing the Sanitary Inspector, Mr T Cawney, with a drain-testing apparatus in order that he carry out his duties in the best possible manner, and that the cost should come out of the general fund, seeing that it would be used for other places. During the Malvern Pageant five swords, five pairs of tights and five wooden trumpets were lost. But instead of the three parasols handed out to performers, seven were handed in to the wardrobe department. Malvern Gazette, October 12, 1951.
Though the historian assures us that the ancient custom of holding annual town fairs in the country is on the wane, the huge crowds which invaded Ledbury on Monday and Tuesday, when the annual Michaelmas Fair was in full swing, proved that this particular institution was as popular as ever. From a lofty tower on the Cattle Market, children about to take a giddy slide paused to stare at the glittering lights of the myriad lamps illuminating the scene.

The proposed residential home for 60 emotionally-disturbed boys, costing about £500,000, due to be built on a site off North End Lane, Malvern has now been shelved indefinitely. Malvern Gazette, October 14, 1976.
Leominster MP, Mr Peter Temple-Morris is compiling a dossier of complaints about low-flying aircraft in his constituency, with particular reference to Ledbury. Ledbury seems to be one of the hard-hit areas in the county, and Mr Temple-Morris has taken the Minister to task on a number of occasions. But aircraft continue to roar over the area, at low level.
