NORIKO Ogawa, acclaimed as one of the world's most exciting young pianists, is the performer at Malvern Concert Club's next recital on Thursday.
Since being awarded a major prize at the 1987 Leeds International Piano Competition, she has carved out an international career.
She spends half of each year in Europe and appears regularly with all the major UK orchestras.
Her programme in Malvern will include Estampes and Images Books I and II, by Debussy plus Les Yeux Clos II by Takemitsu.
She will also be performing Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky, which she recorded in 1998, winning the BBC Music Magazine critics' choice that year.
The concert is at The Forum at Malvern Theatres, at 7.30pm and tickets are available from the box office on 01684 892277.
