THE Malvern RFC Under 11's have had a true in the deep end start to the new rugby season.
An early triangular fixture against Dursley and Old Ritchians proved a tougher test than anticipated and despite a brave effort keeping the results close, neither game produced a win for the home side.
Last Sunday's fixture gave no respite with Monmouth fielding a large mobile squad. Despite early Malvern tries the well disciplined visitors took control and through better interaction closed the game two tries up.
The Malvern Under 11 squad has notably talent and special mention must go to Fraser Pearson, Sam Merley and the unstoppable Louis Jones - who unfortunately was stopped last weekend with a broken arm!
A real blow for the squad.
